Inlays and onlays can be made of porcelain, gold, or composite resin. These are bonded to the damaged area of your tooth.
Inlays and onlays require two dental visits. During your first visit, Dr. White will remove the old filling or the damaged or decaying area of the tooth. The tooth is then prepared for the inlay or onlay. An impression of your tooth is made to ensure proper fit and bite. After Dr. White applies a temporary restoration on your tooth, you are ready for your next appointment.
During your second appointment, the temporary restoration is removed. Your inlay or onlay is then tested to insure it fits correctly. If your inlay or onlay fits correctly, it is then bonded to your tooth and polished to a smooth finish.
