Veneers provide a new outer layer to existing teeth. They can be used to reshape teeth, eliminate gaps, and make them whiter. They are bonded to your natural teeth, and can last for 20 years or more.
Sometimes veneers can be a conservative option to crowns, where damage to teeth is minimal. They can cover chipped or cracked teeth, as well as areas that are stained. They are more commonly requested by patients who are not happy with the way their teeth look, and want a cosmetic make-over, so they can have that million dollar smile.
This procedure can be accomplished on any adult patient with enough healthy tooth structure to support a veneer. It is not recommended for children or teenagers.
This is more easily explained in person, depending on your individual needs. Veneers can be placed on as few as one or two teeth, or as many as 24 teeth. They can be placed a few teeth at a time, or all at once. It is also possible in our office to place veneers in a single visit. We offer a free consultation to discuss your specific goals for your smile.
